I sure did. That is because I had no prior understanding of the game until I got other games. So for my first few playthroughs of ALTTP, I thought that Link was Zelda

But I read the little manual thingy while I was waiting for my dad to set it up when we first got it, and learned his name was Link. (I was 5) Super Smash Bros. sealed the deal. That's when it was official for me.
