Dr. No - 8/10

Classic Bond, considering it's the first one. It's rather sad that this is my first time seeing it. As entertaining as I imagined it to be.

From Russia with Love - 9/10

Certainly better than Dr. No. Loved the hell out of the characters in this one. Very awesome.

3-10 to Yuma - 8/10

Just what I was hoping for: classic Western bad-assery.

The Slumber Party Massacre - 5/10

Decent slasher flick, I suppose.

The fight between Jackie Chan and Benny the Jet from Wheels on Meals - 10/10

I only got to see some of this movie, but I was lucky enough to catch the best part. Pure awesome in every sense of the word. You can see it (without subs, but in good quality) here.

Thunderball - 7/10

Not as memorable as some of the other Bond flicks, but still great.

You Only Live Twice - 9/10

First appear of Ernst Stravo Blofeld. That alone is at least a 7/10.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - 7/10

Nice to see Bond in a winter setting. And more Blofeld.

Diamonds Are Forever - 7/10

Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd were particularly memorable.

Live and Let Die - 8/10

Despite being released during the era of blaxploitation and thus containing cliches, it had some interesting characters, notably Baron Samedi, of course.

The Spy Who Loved Me - 10/10

Stromberg and Jaws? Yes, please.

Cub Tiger From Kwang Tung - 7/10
Master With Cracked Fingers - 8/10

The latter is a remake of the former, with quite a bit of stuff added, mostly at the end. Some nice martial arts here, and not a bad story either.

Ha qi dao (Hapkido) - 8/10

The martial arts here felt perfect and a lot more crisp than in the previous two.

Yeah, I've been watching some Bond lately, as well as everything Jackie Chan has been in since 1971.

How To Train Your Dragon (in 3D) - 10/10

Loved everything about it. The characters all felt quite believable, especially Hiccup. Seriously awesome stuff from Dreamworks.

Kick-Ass - 10/10

Again, the characters felt very believable. Well maybe not so much Hit-Girl, but certainly Kick-Ass himself. I was actually expecting this movie to be pretty lame. If the trailer had you disappointed, do yourself a favour and see the movie anyway. You'll soon learn how misleading trailers can be sometimes.

This is the way the world ends; not with a bang but a whimper.
American Hardcore 10/10 if you like the music. (8/10 if you don't.)

Shows some great insight into the American hardcore scene in the late 70's and early 80's.

Suburbia 9/10

Fucked up beginning. Fucked up end. Interesting plot, and likable characters. This one will warp your mind. My only problem was the acting. It was pretty mediocre at best. But other than that the rest of the movie is great.

I want to see Kick-Ass, but the movie theater in town is having issues with Lion's Gate. So they won't be airing that film in this town...
I'd have to drive over an hour to the next theater to see it.

Big Fish 9.5/10
Fantastic movie and very different from Tim Burton's usually films, but in a really good way. It feels like an adventure, with a lot of heartfelt moments and an ending that perfectly fits the story.

Glengarry Glen Ross - 8/10

Such a bizarre movie. It also happens to be awesome.

Toy Story 3 - 10/10

Perfection, especially the ending. My god. <3

8.5/10

I might be a little biased in that I love South African history, but this movie was great. My only problems with it were that one, the final rugby game lasted too long and two, it wasn't even the final game of the world cup, which kind of destroys the inspirational message.

The Last Airbender: 4/10. I really like the cartoon, but I went into this movie thinking it would be pretty bad. They had to compress an entire season of episodes into a 2 hour movie. The pace was way too fast. I have other gripes with it, but that's all I'll say. Special effects were well done though.

Hot Tub Time Machine

6/10 - I'm actually being pretty generous with this score. I do not really like modern comedies because they're about being idiotic and having sex and the mishaps with alcohol and cawledge. However, there were SOME parts I did laugh at, like when the one guy looked at the camera and was like "Guys, I think it's a hot tub time machine" and several other funny gags. Like trying to figure out how that one bellhop lost his arm. However, it wasn't very memorable, because I can't really remember any others. So if you want mindless sex, drugs, alcohol humor, be my guest. It caters to the typical male, but it wasn't very good to get over an average.

Note: I'm very critical with comedies, because I find them to be mostly stupid.

The Road:8/10

You really get a feel of what the characters do to live in the world and how quickly everything falls when trying to survive.

I'd say it is sort of like the old mad max series which I loved, but its more of a realistic world full of dangers.

The Expendables: 8/10

It was a great action flick in the sense that Shoot em Up was. It had a shallow story but there was so much over the top action you couldn't help but have fun watching it.

Resident Evil: Afterlife: 7/10

Not a bad movie, good action, decent story, that's about it.

I would say more, but spoilers and stuff. :V

Troy - 9/10

Amazing cast and script. Even Brad Pitt fits in with his serious expressions. The action was choreographed very well and the set design is just awesome.

It's a recreation of The Iliad with only about two minutes of divinity (a minor deity at that), so it makes the whole thing very realistic. It's rare to see a movie about Ancient Greece that doesn't have gods squabbling in it. I'd watch this instead of 300 any day because of how much more real and emotional it is.

Black Swan: 9/10. A tale of a young ballet dancer who goes mad. I love those kind of things. And all of the backstage and rehearsal stuff I enjoyed too.
